The first trip

Not only am I jumping into the world of surrogacy, I'm also jumping into the world of bloggery!

So where does this journey start?

Having a family has always been in the back of my mind for many years.  I think it was around 2005, when I first saw a news story about surrogacy in India.  The subject really got my attention and casually over the years I looked at a number of websites, thinking that this may be an option in the future.  My plan was to have kids at 30, so at the time, the idea of surrogacy was something to look into down the track.

Well talking about down the track, in a month, I will be turning 33, the following week, I will be jumping on a plane and flying to Delhi, India and taking part in the birds and the bees, version 2.1.

The decision for me to use surrogacy hasn't been made lightly, as I mentioned before, I've been looking into this casually for around 7 years, and fairly significantly in the last 6 months.  I thought about many different topics (far too many to list here), and discussed it with close friends.  I'm 100% comfortable with my decision and I want to share my journey that I am sure will have many ups and downs with those interested in surrogacy.
